Grand Chancellor's Message

TAKING ON THE CHALLENGE

Good tiding to one and all. The gavel has been passed to me and I have fully recognized the importance of this high office.

As we begin a new Pythian Year, I would like to thank all Officers and Members of our Benevolent and Noble Order who serve at your pleasure. We are assembled according to law and customs, to consider the interest of our Order in this Domain. It is my duty to render an accounting of this responsible office of which you have in trusted to me.  Gratitude is wholly due to our Supreme Being, who has smiled favorably upon us.  Guided by His wisdom; and who has preserved us; and who has so gently opened up before us fields of usefulness and glory. Our Heavenly Father who has given us patience and carefully attended to all matters presented for our consideration.

Our Noble Order does not affect man’s religious beliefs nor political persuasion, but enhances the opportunity for fellowship between men of different religious and political beliefs in unity.

We offer to our candidates a level field of opportunity to meet all members on an equal footing both socially and economically. It promotes cultivating friendships which become life long.

We strive toward a moderate dues structure to teach through its ritual, lessons so impressive that they will never be forgotten which one can apply to everyday life. Most important our Order seek to be a conduit for unlimited opportunities for unselfish service toward mankind.  Our Order through its teachings and practices have made our world a mighty Brotherhood, which offers in its education, patriotism to God and Country and making a happier human family.

Join with me and our fellow brethren to spread this good news to every town, city and state in our great country to unite in this everlasting bond of Brotherhood.

This Noble Order has for one hundred and fifty years stood for liberty, for loftiest

patriotism, the most loyal devotion to country, for the equality of man, for intensified fraternity; that its precepts and teachings lead men to higher ideals of

life, and that membership therein affords an opportunity for companionship

with the highest class of our citizenship, do you not wish to join with in our great

humanitarian work looking to the “elevation, the happiness, the betterment, of

mankind.”

Brethren, many thanks for your loyal support of our Order. Your positive contribution to Pythianism  over the years on projects, pancake breakfasts and other fund raising to make a better life for those less fortune is always appreciated.
